There is no doubt that the Tiger is the spirit animal of Detroit baseball, there are Tigers on the building facade, the scoreboard and even a Carousel!

I met my brother Mal and sister in law Pat and we enjoyed pregame food at Hockey-town and then had great seats behind home plate for the game!

The Tigers took the initiative with an early lead but over time the Oakland Athletics caught up with and bested them by 2 runs.

It began to rain in the 7th inning so we decided to leave because we had a 90 mile drive to Mal & Pat’s home, so we didn’t see the loss firsthand however we did have to drive through a flooded area on the highway which was a bit terrifying!

Today I am at Spartan Toyota having “Buster” serviced! My mileage for this trip is nearly 9,000 with 9 more ballparks to go before the All Star break!
