Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a Toronto Blue Jays game at Rogers Centre. The game opened with a young girl singing both the National Anthem and Oh Canada!
I was very close to the field behind home plate and next to the Blue Jays dugout! All the kids would gather around trying to get a ball from the players!
The New York Yankees were visiting and started out with a 1 run lead. At about the 3rd inning a Yankee fan sat down in front of me and as the game progressed he talked with seat mates and me a bit, and I knew he was a Baldwin brother, just not sure which one but I am thinking Billy!
He was very low profile but when the little guy next to him was trying desperately to get a baseball he took off his hat and stood up so he could be recognized to help get the baseball, a few innings later he helped another youngster!
The ballgame remained 1-0 until the 7th inning when the Blue Jays tied with a single home run. The game continued tied until the 10th inning when the Yankees managed to get a run and hold the Jays scoreless!
So sweet to hear about Baldwin helping the boys. Loving your adventures.
