I left my car in Minneapolis and flew to DC on Monday to attend the All Star game Tuesday, I thought about going to the Home Run Derby but tickets were through the roof so I watched it on TV!
On Tuesday I headed to the Convention Center for Fan Fest around noon.
Lots of vendors some great skills development stations like batting cages and lots of good old baseball fans! I actually met the creator of the MLB Passport that I have nearly completed and ended up getting a couple more destinations!
There was some great baseball Art and I did buy a print of the “minimalists” ballparks!
They are sending it to me so once I get it I will post a better picture!
As I was planning to leave at 4:00 pm and head to the ballpark there was a horrible thunderstorm! I was worried they might postpone the game but as I waited about 40 minutes the storm passed and I took the Metro to the ballpark!
The Stadium was filled to capacity (and then some) I was in a high perch above the right field and I didn’t see any empty seats in the vicinity! The game was great, with enough drama to keep people’s attention and I was so proud of Jean Segura of the Mariners for hitting a 3 run homer! As you probably know by now the American League won, but it took an extra inning!
Today (Wednesday) I flew back to Minnesota and my car and hit the road again! I made it to Jamestown ND and visited the National Buffalo Museum!
Wow! Fantastic adventures! Love the pictures.
