I am amazed that it is already July, over a year since I set off on my wonderful baseball adventure. It has been quite a year, above is a photo of the record snow we got in Bremerton, altogether over 13 inches!
I volunteered with AARP preparing income tax returns for our community again, and the “Tax Cut” such as it was actually only meant very few people wanted to itemize.
I went on a 21 run to Hawaii with Amanda and Bobby and some of Bobby’s family. His Daughter Megan and Niece both turned 21 in March so it was a special celebrations for them! Bobby and his two girls below!
I have been to a few Mariners games this season, they started out so well, but seem to have settled into their normal mode now.
I have a regular seat near the third base line (see below for view)
I started looking for a dog to adopt, hoping to find a best friend who might also be trained as a therapy dog, so I could take him to visit the VA home in Retsil and other elder care settings. I provided foster care for a very active Wheaton Terrier, and some shelter break sleepovers.
Last month I found a dog who captured my interest, and after communicating with the rescue and foster mom, I drove down to Oregon to meet my new friend “Rico”. He is from California and was a stray apparently at a shelter there when rescued and transported to Oregon. He’s 1 year old, quite smart and got on famously with my little granddaughter and my grandsons dog! Azzy (my granddaughter) calls him Echo, which may be his new name!
Great to see you posting again. Glad Echo found a loving home.
Milton: Sorry about the delay I was not too focused on Baseball this season, but now that the “World Serious” is
heating up I am once again looking for the joy of the game.
